У статті порівнюються парадигми значень прикметника «білий» у китайській та російській мовах, завдяки чому демонструється різниця інтерпретацій зазначеного кольору в обох культурах. Специфіка культурної інформації, пов’язаної
з китайською лексичною одиницею, визначається за допомогою етимологічного аналізу відповідного ієрогліфа, завдяки
чому встановлюється зв’язок між цими значеннями та біномом «їнь-ян».
The given article deals with comparison of paradigms of adjective “white” meaning in Chinese and Russian languages, demonstrating
a difference in interpretations of meaning of this color in both cultures. Specific cultural information of a Chinese lexical
unite is revealed through etymological analysis of correspondent character, establishing a connection between meaning of this
character and philosophical binomial “Yin-Yang”.
