Статтю присвячено вивченню семантичних особливостей оцінних прагматонімів у британській та американській лінгвокультурах. Здійснено семантичну класифікацію досліджуваних оцінних онімів, встановлено спільні й етноспецифічні риси їхньої семантики в межах різних варіантів однієї мови. Виділено основний набір сем, що зумовлюють оцінність досліджуваних одиниць.
The paper focuses on the semantic peculiarities of evaluative pragmatonyms in British and American linguocultures. The semantic classification of the evaluative proper names under study has been carried out, common and ethno-specific characteristics of their semantics have been revealed within different variants of the same language. The main evaluative semes in the meaning structure of the linguistic units in question have been singled out.
