The formal and propositional structure of the english-language discourse as the index of direct link between thinking and language

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to discover the essence of a human’s process of thinking in its close connection with the formal elements of the English-language discourse hierarchy. This paper aims to determine the basic propositional codes recreating a human’s thought. The main prior discourse code is the explicit algorithmic Proposition. Based on the deduced generalized “atomic” Subjects/Predicate Patterns the present study has come to the conclusion that the actual minimum code is the Predicate Pattern – so-called Infinitivization going back to the Infinitive construction, which corresponds to the Combination of Words as an implicit Proposition. It may be transformed into an explicit Proposition owing to the “atomic” Subjects in a human’s consciousness.Мета цієї статті – розкрити суть процесу мислення людини в його тісному зв’язку з формальними елементами ієрархії англомовного дискурсу. Ця стаття спрямована на визначення основних пропозиційних кодів, що відтворюють думку людини. Основним попереднім кодом дискурсу є явна алгоритмічна пропозиція. На основі виведених узагальнених «атомарних» суб’єктів/патернів предикатів дане дослідження прийшло до висновку, що фактичним мінімальним кодом є шаблон предикатів – так звана інфінітивізація, що сходить до конструкції інфінітиву, яка відповідає комбінації слів як неявна пропозиція. Воно може трансформуватися в явне судження завдяки «атомарним» суб’єктам у свідомості людини.
