Використання іншомовних включень у англомовних художніх текстах для створення атмосфери часу та місця дії

Abstract

Стаття присвячена дослідженню функцій іншомовних включень в англомовному художньому тексті. Досліджено, що іншомовні включення стають маркерами історичної атмосфери та колориту місцевості, а також відіграють специфічну роль у створенні хронотопу. Значна увага приділяється розгляду іншомовних включень, які характерні для травелогічних творів, де автор намагається розповісти про місцеві звичаї тієї чи іншої країни.The article is devoted to the function analysis of foreign inclusions (foreignisms) in the artistic texts based on the English language. Role of foreignisms as markers of historical atmosphere and local coloration is analysed and presented in detail. Much attention is paid to foreignisms in the texts written in the genre of travelogue where the author tries to describe local customs, habits, and features of life of a country. Іt is noted in the article that usage of foreign-language inclusions allows the author to create an authentic picture of events and show the interaction of cultures.
