Abstract
The paper analyzes the current views on the concept of «national legal system*. It is shown that the national legal system should be considered in the context of the unity of traditions and innovations. In this way fundamental importance to identify the place of the legal system in the structure of the social system and its relationship to the economic system, political system, etc. The national legal system is characterized not only by the system of sources of law, the specifics of the judiciary, but
also the volume of legal norms and other indicators.
