Media as a tool for the protection of human rights

Abstract

Human rights protection is undergoing significant transformation within contemporary international and European legal frameworks, particularly under the conditions of rapidly evolving information environments. The role of the media is being fundamentally redefined, as modern information societies depend on complex processes of dissemination, interpretation and circulation of information. The role of the media in the protection of human rights is both significant and multifaceted. At the same time, the growing complexity of the information environment requires a careful balance between media freedom and the protection of other fundamental rights.
