Роль уяви в конструюванні історичного на ративу в філософії історії Р. ДЖ. Коллінгвуда та Х. Уайта

Abstract

У статті розглядаються погляди Р. Дж. Коллінгвуда та Х. Уайта на роль уяви в створенні історичного наративу, показані подібності та відмінності в розумінні особливостей історичного наративу вказаними дослідниками. Історична уява - це здатність представляти те, що було в дійсності або не існувало взагалі. З іншого боку, це здатність до споглядання навіть при відсутності самого предмета споглядання, що має конструктивну функцію, в якій продукується цілісність. Обґрунтовується, що загально філософським та методологічним підґрунтям цих поглядів є вчення про уяву Е. Канта. Підкреслюється, що Коллінгвуд зосередив увагу на логіко-епістемологічних аспектах історичної уяви, а Уайт – на тропологічних. Зазначено, що центральним принципом філософії історії Коллінгвуда є таке положення: історія у власному розумінні слова є історією думки. Показано, що у методологічному відношенні мова у Коллінгвуда йде про способи оптимізації тієї міжпредметної напруги, яка виникає при критичному аналізі джерела автором, що досліджує «забуті очевидності» минулого. Основна концепція, що розвивається Р. Дж. Коллінгвудом являє собою реакцію на інтуїтивний підхід «реалістів», стосується важливості постановки питань в пізнанні. В якості м етоду сучасної історичної науки Коллінгвуд звертається до доказу, заснованого на методі питань і відповідей. Історик починає своє дослідження з постановки проблеми, для вирішення якої він ставить питання. Осмисленість питання залежить від матеріалу, на пі дставі якого можна отримати осмислену відповідь. Відповіді є підставами для обов’язкового (дедуктивного) виведення, необхідного для однозначного вирішення поставленої проблеми. Показано, що велику роль в концептуалізації історичної уяви зіграв Хейден Уайт, який вважав, що то, що історики роблять, є, перш за все, уявні образи, які функціонують більше, ніж спогад минулих подій в чиїсь уяві. Основна ідея його концепції полягає в тому, що в роботі історика аналізу і процедурам пояснення і розповіді передують образи і припущення, що стосуються змісту і сенсу досліджуваних і описуваних історичних подій в формі історичного оповідання, що отримуються за допомогою свого роду поетичного прозріння і глибинної структури історичної уяви.

The article examines the views of R. J. Collingwood and H. White on the role of imagination in the creation of historical narratives, shows the similarities and differences in understanding the features of the historical narrative by these researchers. Historical imagination is the ability to represent what was or did not exist at all. On the other hand, it is the ability to contemplate, even in the absence of the object of contemplation, which has a constructive function in which integrity is produced. It is substantiated that the generally philosophical and methodological basis of these views is the doctrine of E. Kant's imagination. It is emphasized that Collingwood focused on the logical-epistemological aspects of historical imagination, and White on the tropological ones. It is stated that the central tenet of Collingwood's philosophy of history is that history in its own sense of the word is the history of thought. It is shown that, methodologically, Collingwood talked about ways to optimize the inter subject voltage that arises from a critical analysis of a source by an author exploring the "forgotten obviousness" of the past. The basic concept of R.J. Collingwood's development is a reaction to the intuitive approach of "realists" concerning the importance of raising questions in cognition. As a method of modern historical science, Collingwood turns to the question-and-answer method. The historian begins his research by posing a problem for resolving which he poses a question. The meaningfulness of the question depends on the material on the basis of which a meaningful answer can be obtained. The answers are the grounds for the obligatory (deductive) conclusion necessary to unambiguously resolve the problem. It is shown that Hayden White played a major role in the conceptualization of historical imagination, he believed that, first of all, the things that historians do is imaginary images that function more than the memories of past events in one's imagination. The basic idea of its concept is that in the work of the historian of analysis and procedures of explanation and narration preceded by images and assumptions concerning the content and meaning of the studied and described historical events in the form of historical narrative, obtained through a kind of poetic insight and deep structure of the historical imagine.
