Вербалізація концепту GENIUS/ГЕНІЙ в англомовних біографіях Леонардо да Вінчі

Abstract

Стаття присвячена дослідженню особливостей вербалізації концепту GENIUS в англомовних біографіях Леонардо да Вінчі. У роботі наведено основні аспекти дослідження феномену геніальності у філософії та психології; проаналізовано дефініції лексичної одиниці genius в англомовних словниках різної функціональної спрямованості; виокремлено концептуальні ознаки досліджуваного концепту в науково-популярних біографіях Леонардо да Вінчі.The article is dedicated to the investigation of the peculiarities of verbalization of the concept GENIUS in the English biographies of Leonardo da Vinci. The research presents main aspects of the study of the phenomenon of genius in philosophy and psychology; analyzes definitions of the lexical unit “genius” in the English dictionaries of different functional orientation; singles out conceptual features of the analyzed concept in the popular-science biographies of Leonardo da Vinci.
